I recently joined the Parish Council in September 2015. I was brought up in Ashover, attending Ashover School before studying Drama and Theatre Arts at University in London. I moved back to Ashover in 2006 to be near my family - my Father Clive Baxter, who was Chairman of the Parish Council and my Mother, Judi Baxter, whose own Mother, Muriel Lonsdale had held the same position. I chaired the Mother and Toddler group, currently sit on the AGES nursery committee and help out with the kids, alongside others for the parish pantomime and the May Day event. My work as a Software Support Technician at a local company and as an Event Manager for the Society of Independent Brewers keeps me busy, but any spare time is taken up with walking the dog, watching Cricket, travel, fine food and skiing.
