" Originally from the north-east, I spent my working career in Financial Services in London, mostly for a leading insurer before setting up my own company working as a business analyst.

Following retirement in 2015 I moved to Ashover. Since then, I've undertaken voluntary roles with the Prince's Trust, Eastern Moors Partnership, Ashover's Patients Participation Group (PPG) and the local Tree Group.

My interests are very much focused on the outdoors and in the past 10 years have included winter ultra-marathons in Alaska, Finland and Canada where I met my partner who grew up in Ashover."
