Exploring Opera in Ashover Spring Term 2024

Participants will explore the operas 'The Girl of the Golden West' by Puccini, 'The Turn of the Screw' by Benjamin Britten and 'The Bartered Bride' by Smetana. We will appreciate the music, study and discuss the productions, the dramatic and narrative features of the operas, as well as their historical background and the lives of the composers.

11 weekly Sessions, Starts Friday 5th January 10am - 12noon, Cost: £90
