Access to floodlights by municipal players on the hard courts (adjacent the Sports Pavilion), Milken Lane, Ashover

At the Ashover Parish Council Meeting held 17 September 2024, Members considered a request for floodlight cards to be made available to municipal players. I am pleased to say that Members agreed to this request for a trial period of 3 months commencing in October 2024 and this will be reviewed in January 2025.

There will be a procedure to follow to obtain the cards i.e. online payment will be requested wherever possible and enough cards purchased for anticipated use during those months. Once payment has been made, full instructions for access to and use of the floodlights will be given and the cards will only be issued at 6.30pm on the third Tuesday of the month, prior to the Parish Council Meeting commencing at 7.00pm. in The Sports Pavilion, adjacent the courts, Milken Lane, Ashover S45 0BA.

Cards currently cost £4.00 per card with half an hour's use on each side of the card. Municipal use of the courts will remain free of charge. Ashover Parish Council will reserve the right to lock the hard courts at any time, to prevent play, should this be deemed necessary for whatever reason.
