Call For Sites

NEDDC has now opened a Call for Sites, inviting people and organisations to submit sites with the potential for new development or uses, such as residential, employment, biodiversity offsetting, etc. This will help shape development of the Local Plan.

Land put forward as potential sites for biodiversity offsetting will be assessed by our partners at the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. If considered suitable for this purpose, you would have the opportunity to enter into a legal agreement with the Council that would allow the sale of biodiversity units on your land to developers who need to meet their biodiversity enhancement obligations.
